Some people find balance between work and life, while others, like Kristina Beluczova, dance their way through it. As an Insurance Broker with Antes Corporate & Advisory Team by day and a Salsation instructor by night, Kristina blends the precision of her profession with the rhythm of her passion.

A Life of Movement and Music

Kristina’s love for dance started early. With a Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from Slovakia, she has always been deeply connected to movement and music. Her journey as an instructor began in 2010 when she became a certified Zumba teacher. After four years of teaching, her passion led her to explore new opportunities across five different countries before settling in Malta—where she found both a career and a renewed love for dance.

In 2019, she became a certified Salsation instructor, bringing back the joy of movement and sharing it with others. Whether teaching Reggaeton to teenagers or leading adults through high-energy Salsation classes, Kristina believes dance is more than just exercise—it’s a way to express, connect, and thrive.

From the Dance Floor to the Office

At first glance, insurance broking and dance instruction might seem worlds apart, but Kristina sees a strong connection between them. “Both roles require great communication, motivation, and trust-building. In dance, I guide my students to believe in themselves and improve with every step. In insurance, I support my clients in finding the right solutions for their needs. The ability to connect with people and provide structure applies to both fields,” she explains. Her background as an instructor has also sharpened her discipline, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities—qualities that serve her well in the fast-paced world of insurance.

What to Expect in a Salsation Class

Kristina’s classes are high-energy, fun, and open to all fitness levels. Salsation is a dance fitness program that fuses functional training, musicality, and expressive movement, all set to vibrant world and Latin rhythms. A class typically starts with isolation exercises, followed by dynamic, easy-to-follow choreography, and ends with a full-body stretch, leaving participants strong, balanced, and full of positive vibes. “You don’t need to be a dancer,” Kristina encourages. “Salsation is about moving to the music and enjoying yourself. It’s an incredible way to stay active while having fun!”

Balancing Passion and Profession

With a demanding career and an active dance life, time management is key. “I’m a big planner,” Kristina says. “I prioritise my work, studies, and responsibilities, but I also make sure to carve out time for dance and social events. Antes supports work-life balance, and I embrace that mindset fully.”
She believes that dance has shaped her approach to life and work: “It has taught me to step outside my comfort zone. Just like in dance, in life and business, you have to take risks, challenge yourself, and grow from every experience.”

The Rewarding Moments

For Kristina, the greatest reward is seeing her students gain confidence. “When someone tells me, ‘Thanks for showing me that move,’ or when a shy student becomes comfortable and starts owning the dance floor, those moments are priceless,” she shares. And if you’re hesitant to try Salsation? Kristina’s advice is simple: “Just go for it! It’s an amazing workout, a mood booster, and a great way to meet people. You’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll get hooked on the energy and community.”

Dancing for a Healthy Mind and Body

Science supports what Kristina has experienced firsthand: dancing isn’t just great for fitness, it’s amazing for brain health. Studies show that dance improves neuroplasticity, reduces stress, and boosts overall well-being. The combination of coordination, rhythm, and creativity stimulates multiple brain regions, making it a powerful tool for mental and physical health.

For Kristina, music and movement are essential to life. Whether guiding clients through their insurance needs or leading a class in the joy of dance, she continues to inspire those around her—with every step, every beat, and every move.
