Assistant Broker / Broker - Motor & Personal Lines 

Role Description

The role of Assistant Broker is within the Personal Lines team and play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experience. The chosen candidate is expected to work closely with clients and insurance partners to secure the best coverage and premiums, while providing outstanding after-sales support that ensures satisfaction and loyalty. This position is front office role and would be perfect for someone with proven customer service expertise, strong relationship-building skills, and a passion for delivering quality solutions that drive both client trust and company success.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Renew and issue Personal Lines policies to grow the department’s portfolio while ensuring clients receive exceptional service.
  • Source competitive quotations from multiple insurers to provide tailored solutions that meet clients’ needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships and effective communication with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.
  • Process policy changes accurately and escalate complex matters to the appropriate superior when necessary.
  • Handle transactional data in internal and insurer systems and prepare reports as required.
  • Support the Personal Lines team with ad-hoc tasks and departmental needs.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments regularly.
  • Commit to continuous professional development to stay updated on industry trends.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Senior Management, or Core Team. 

Skills, Experience & Attributes

  • Ideally a minimum of 1/2 years insurance experience with a focus on Personal Lines Insurance. 
  • Strong communication skills with clients, insurance representatives, and internal stakeholders. 
  • Collaborative team player who supports departmental cohesion and maintains open communication with leadership. 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ethical and reliable, with adherence to legal and regulatory standards. 
  • Skilled in updating databases, systems, and documentation consistently. 
  • Strong listening and clear communication abilities. 
  • Excellent administrative and organisational capabilities. 
  • Goal-oriented, with annual performance objectives guiding development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1/2 years experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on Motor & Personal Lines Insurance. 
  • Candidates in the process of attaining their Dip. CII or B.Com.(Hons) in Insurance or an MA (Insurance) will be given preference.
